Painted Cladding?

For thoughs of you that have painted your cladding yourselfs; how is it holding up? Have there been any chips, fading, or any other thing wrong with it.
 
Nothing, NY snow and road sand and salt.... been painted for about 30K miles now... Even took a light rear bumper parking lot hit and all it did was scuff it.....

the way to do it is to clean it with plastic parts cleaner, NOT simple green !!!....



Spray a coat of an adhesion promoter and then paint of your choice... I used body shop paint with flex additive...

Others have just used spray cans and it looks dam good...

Krylon now has a paint for plastics, it's called "fusion". It says no sanding or priming. I would be interested to see if it works well on a car, it would make the cladding job MUCH easier.
