So I went over to talk to the neighbors today. They are still moving in, so I helped them bring their mattress inside. Then I brought up the fence issue. Turns out they had it installed and told them not to attach it to mine. They said they'd detach it as soon as they could. It also turns out my fence is over a foot off the line, so they had to put over a foot of fence on my property. Hopefully when it comes down to it their posts are all their side, not that it matters at this point. They're pretty nice people, turns out they must have had a really bad day when I went over to talk to them before. Either that or the wife is real nice and the husband isn't.
