Passing School Bus

What ever happened with the guy that got threatened with a ticket by the school bus driver after passing the bus in the school parking lot? I remember he was very concerned, but I never heard the conclusion.

Oh Passing a school bus is a big no-no if the lights are flashing. Unfortunately a lot of people do not realize that applies even in the school lot or other parking lots even if you pass far to one side.

The guy passed the bus in a parking lot and the bus driver had no lights flashing. When this member got out of his vehicle, the bus driver told him that he was going to turn him in for breaking the law, which that member says he didn't do.

hey if he didnt have his red crossovers on then you can pass them on the left. but if the reds are on dont pass cause out here in calif. its like 1000 to 1400 hundred dollar ticket, and it concered a moving violation too.. and its a mark againest you driving record.. bus drivers can right down motorist lic plate number and turn it in to the chp. and that person will get a ticket in the mail.. so be careful if you come to calif especially in san bernandino, riverside and Los Angeles area.. the cops will nail ya.. i know all this cause i drive one of those big yellow lunch boxes. lol

It was mike-ct. He parked along side of the bus, but never passed it. I see him now and then, I'll ask him what happened if anything.

Thanks for the update.... at the time I thought the bus driver would be nuts to follow through with his threat.

Same here in Maine as CA as far as if the bus driver gets the plate the summons will go to the registered owner unless someone else admits to driving. However, here it is not just a traffic ticket (infraction) it is a misdemeanor that will land you in court and the judge will decide on the fine.
