A local guy here in Wisconsin is selling his 7 year old Dodge pickup. It has 134,000 miles on it. The interior rattles and here's a pic of the rear fender area. What a piece of ****. He's asking $5800 for it. My 2001 Sport Trac has no rust on it.

One of my dad's uncles sold hearses and ambulances. In the late '70s/early '80s he said they couldn't use Dodge trucks as bases for ambulances because the sheet metal was so thin the mirrors would rip right out of the doors from just their own weight.

The photo alone loudly screams that this truck has lived in the "Rust Belt" !! :boohoo:

Thought it was only the bed. Rocker panels seem to be the ST's biggest rust issue, seems the lower rocker panel cladding is designed to trap water.

The bed and rear fenders are composite (not metal)

My EMS department had a Dodge van-style ambulance for a couple of years. You could turn the steering wheel half a turn before the front wheels moved. It would nearly blow over in a 40 mpg cross wind because the axle width was so narrow. And, yes, the mirrors fell off. That's when I swore off ever even considering a Dodge vehicle for life. I don't even look at them.
