Hello All,

I have seen miracles performed by the folks on this site that know Photoshop and was wondering if you might help us. We are trying to paint our streetrod. We have picked out a Seafoam green (really close to silver with a hint of green) but "someone" in the family wants to two-tone it with another shade of silver (possibly). I know its a "Chevy" a 1940 to be exact but is there someone out there that is willing to play with coloring it? We cannot figure out where to break the two colors according to the body lines of the car, which color on top, which color on the bottom, you get the picture. Hoping someone might be able to assist. Thanks Marsha

It would help a lot if you could give the exact colors from a sample or something.. here's something real quick though

Hey Again,

Looking good, although way to much green, its much closer to silver. I will try to scan our paint sample and get it posted. We are really concerned about the trunk line too. Thanks you guys are GREAT! Marsha

I'll see if i can whip somethign up later on...any higher res images?

I'm thinking the roof in the silver, with the seperation line where the roof meets rest of the body. Maybe a mint green pinstripe would look good.

Hi Tiger,

Sorry, no higher res pics we had to play hard to get these. Hope you have time to play with it, we would really appreciate it.

Hi Glenn,

Thanks for the heads up on the body shop but we already have it in one and unfortunately the previous owner left us with some surprises. It may be a very long and expensive winter.

That's what I was able to come up with real quick. The seperation line is the hood at the very front, swoops up at the chrome trim/extractors, follows the trim, then swoops down to meet the trunk line.

The side molding is supposed to be, but the color bleed-through (could see red in it) was too bad, so I left it desaturated on the upper silver layer. There are ways around that, however...

Me thinks black with old school orange and yellow flames. Or a real bright yellow.

Marsha, don't know who the "someone" is, but I'm with you on the all one color. I'm not sure the lines of the car lend themselves to two tone, at least the back end doesn't.
