The pinion seal on my rear dif is leaking very slowly. Can this seal be chnged with out having to disassemble the whole ring and pinion? Or can it be accessed from the front by taking the driveshaft off and taking the yoke (correct term?) out?

The second one. Count the threads, reuse the crush sleeve, make sure the thread count matches, and you'll be fine.

Jeff, after you installed the pinion seal you can reuse the crush sleeve, but make sure you tighten the pinion nut to the specified torque.

There is a special torque reading you need to get with an inch lb wrench.... Then reusing the sleeve set the new nut to the same spec......
