Pioneer Audio

I've been shopping around now for a few weeks for a double din in dash dvd head unit, replacement 6x8's for all 4 doors, and a 4 channel amp to drive them. I later plan on adding a 10 in. sub and mono amp.



Been getting quotes from local car audio shops and have been quoted as high as 1600.00 for an all alpine system...in dash dvd/cd/mp3 head unit, 4 channel amp, and 5x7 type S 2 way coaxials.



Yesterday, I went into a shop that I purchased my previous audio system from and they offered me a deal for a pioneer AVH-P3100 DVD double din head unit, a pioneer GM-6400F 600 watt 4 channel amp, and pioneer premier TS-D802P 6x8 coaxials, dash kit, harness, all wiring, and ipod cable for 1300.00 installed. 2 yr. warranty on the components and lifetime warranty on installation. Tried looking for reviews on these products and didn't find much...



Good deal/components? I've used pioneer audio components before and I like the way they perform...what are your opinions on pioneer/pioneer premier?

In my opinion for the money you can't beat Pioneer. I have the Pioneer AVIC-Z3 in my ST and I love it. Pioneer is definately not the best out htere but its very good for what it costs IMO.

Pioneer has been around so obviously there doing something right lol........I like there head units good quality can last forever.........what shop did you get that quote from hawaiian?

I got the quote from Elite Electronics at the Samsung Plaza on Keeaumoku. I also checked out car audio specialist on nimitz, security and sound systems on beretania, and another shop on n. king right across kapalama post office.



So far Elite seems to be the best deal for the price...I already put a deposit down and will probably install the system on saturday if I don't find anything else by then.

all local guys that talk just about car audio, the admin owns the audio shop across from pearlridge kind of (mobile car audio)........those guys are crazy bout audio garans you find the info you need, no drama either on that site

I will be getting the Pioneer PH4100 this Friday. You should look into it if you dont want a NAV stereo.
