Why would these gaskets cost this much? I have build many engines, mostly diesel and had no idea how much parts cost. I worked in a steel mill as a mechanic and electrician. Why does one cost so much more than the other?

Thew ford gaskets are expensive because they com with metal inserts in the gasket so you don't crush it and overtighten.....



And ford is always expensive on that stuff...
