Would removing the front air dam, also known as the lower air deflector, cause any problems? Two of the bolts basically went through it and now there's a nice little gap in between it and the front bumper. It looks like there's four or five bolts and two screws on the ends that hold it in place, which can easily be replaced and won't affect anything else. In this picture, you can see the gap right in the middle of the bumper and the deflector.

I don't think it has a function...may help protect th ac condensor from stones or something...but I doubt if removing it would hurt a thing...Sweet Trac btw!

It may be for under car drag, OR is is a catch for the air to help move some air up to the radiator...
