I run 36/36

Maybe the suggested tire pressure is to alleviate a bad "push".....I dunno. Seriously In a turn the other night I went in a lil hot....the rear seemed like it would break away while accelerating 1/2 way before the front end was gonna slide. The truck has a nice balance in the turn. I can only imagine the benefits of the upgraded sway links. I agree....I like even pressure all the way around.

Hopefully I can remember what I was taught - a long time ago. Paraphrasing;

The strongest part of the tire is the shoulder, where the tread meets the sidewall. The less weight that is put on the sidewall and shoulder, the more pressure is required to maximize the contact patch of the tread - effectively equalizing the tread and shoulder strengths. The more weight applied, the more the sidewall and shoulder collapses requiring less pressure to produce a flat contact patch. This is why overinflation causes the center of tread to wear and under inflation causes the shoulders to wear.

Therefore, front of ST being heavier requires a lower pressure to maximize tire/road surface contact.

I don't know the truths to all this so it is not gospel. Just the way someone 'splained it to me.

IMHO factory recommended tire pressures are usually optimized for a smooth ride and nothing else. I have larger-than-stock tires on the stock 7" rims (so far) and I run 32 all-around. I guarantee 30/front will wear out the outer edges of the tires faster. 35/front sharpens up the handling nicely and it won't turn like a pig.

"Zippy, it's pushin' real bad, gimme a half-pound in the right front and a turn of wedge." :lol:

what, NO track bar adjustment?????

LOL...

The tire pressure by the manufacturer is what they feel gives you the best of all worlds..

But run the tire at 30psi. It goes low, to 25, you will KILL a set. But if running 36 and they go a little low say 32, your still safe.

And I noticed a huge improvement from the 30 to 36 all around..
