What an ill informed backwards people. IMO, Islam is all about suppresionand control. Whenit is carried to fundemental levels. I have a hard time believing that that cleric really believes that.

Apparently the clerics were wrong, as no earthquake was reported in Indiana.

I'm fond of pointing out to people that if The Bible was the only book I ever read, I'd be pretty stupid too.

IMO, Islam is all about suppression and control.

I was doing a project on a local ethnic business one time and the owner of the store agreed to let us interview him and his family and spend some time at the store. He was islamic. At first he was very stand-offish and seemed angry at us for no reason. When I asked someone about this who knew more about it than me, I was told that Muslims are taught to lie to non-muslims, no matter what. Supposedly they are taught to not give away any of their true plan, which was to eventually rid the world of non-muslims. So basically, if this is true, this guy secretly just wanted to kill us but of course he couldn't because he would go to jail. I don't know that I believe this claim but it in an interesting thought. Eventually the guy did warm up to us and we became good friends. He even made us dinner one night in the back of his store with traditional Syrian ingredients.

Take that as you may, I did not see that as an insult towards Christians. Then again, I'm not Christian, so how would I know what may or may not insult one.

Exactly. The Muslim clerics, the Koran is the only thing they study. That's why they come up with stupid pronouncements like this.
