question about radio bezel

hey,



Today i ripped out my radio and all electrical plugs going into the back of my radio bezel such as the sunroof, 4x4, ciggarette lighter etc..



Tommorrow i plan on painting it black. I am wondering if spray paint would do the job?

Any suggestions?

I think the crappy paint from the factory may crack or peal, But I would recommend a supper fine sanding, 1600 grit, Then some type of good paint, or an adhesion promoter first then paint..
