Question about rear door panel

First off this site rocks!!!! My girlfriend broke the inside handle on the passenger side rear door so I did a search for door panel and up popped the project to fix it. Bought the handle and replaced it in about 15 minutes. Thank to this site

Anyway the question: Is there supposed to be 2 very small other water shields above the big one? (about 4"x4") They kinda looked out of place. I have a 2003.

I put it all back together with the two other pieces. I guess even if it isnt original who cares. There was no moisture damage.
