Quick mental check prior to order ... brake pads/rotors for '01

I'm having front rotors/pads replaced on my '01 and I've spent "hours" going through posts here and I'm about to pull the trigger. For quality parts looks like the consensus is stick with Motorola rotors and it looks like personal preference on the pads.



Going through Amazon ($10 cheaper/part than RockAuto)

- Motorcraft BRR106 Front Disc Brake Rotor ($62.22 each)

- Akebono ACT833 Front Ceramic Pads ($61.82 each)



Any reason not to go with these? I have 120k on my truck and I'd like to see it hit 200k. I will have local shop do the work. Thanks for your thoughts.

Your gonna want inner/outer bearings and seals as well.

Thanks ... (didn't know). Guess I can just pick these up at local Advance Auto unless someone has a specific suggestion (ie link to RockAuto / Amazon?)

When I did this job on my old Explorer, I used what bearings Advance Auto had in stock, I can't honestly remember which brand they were.



Also, I didn't know Motorola made brake rotors....?

Here in Canada, Ford give a LIFE time waranty on pads!!! JMO
