Hi Folks,

I'm considering upgrading the shocks soon on my '01 ST 2WD. I've seen some good comments on the Rancho RSX here on the board. After getting a few price quotes (shocks & installation) here locally, I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried the Rancho RS5000 shocks?

i have the rancho rs 5000. i do like them...much better than stock...i would probably spend the extra 10 bucks per shock for the RSX's though...when i bought the 5000's the RSX's were about 15 bucks more per shock i believe...im on a college budget so i went for the 5000's... understand that it is a good shock..but the RSX is better... i believe the RSX is gas charged... the 5000's are not... basically it comes down to money

i found them at JC whitney..here you go

I have the RSX, very pleased. The monroe reflex is the same shock for les money..

See the link below and visit the FAQ section and the sections on individual shock info..

I just installed the RSX's in front, will do the rears, next weekend. Finished around 8 PM.

Just the front's made sure a hugh differance, I can't wait to install the rears. And then get the :lol:ST front end alignment.

The RSX's have urithane bushings and dust boot. The Reflex's are rubber and just have a dust cover.

Go with the RSXs. FYI the rebate that just ended would have only been $5 a shock.

:D

What is the Cost of the RSX?

I just got off the phone with Van and Truck World here in Canada and they quoted me $117/each

Is this not rather expensive?

Please let me know as I am looking at this upgrade for the wifes truck!

Cheers

Whit

Sam's Offroad has the RSX'x for $195.80 per set of 4 with free shipping.

-edit-

Chris27 - Just noticed you're in Canada. I don't know if Sam's will ship up there.

Ya... I am in Ontario... I hope they ship to Canada... Because at $117/each there is no way I am buying shocks for the TRUCK!

Amazing how they get away with stuff like this.... with the Exchange rate the way it is right now it would cost me $68/each or $272 for the set. WOW big difference from $468 plus all the crap taxes on top of that... 14%... I Love Canada!

Cross your fingers!

Cheers

Whit
