Just out of curiosity, is the 4 dr Ranger available in the U.S.? It is not here in Canada, but I am sure I have seen pictures of it.

Thanks guys, that answers that question, is it possible/practical to import a vehicle from Mexico.

Will they pass safety and emissions regs?

Gerry

The Mexican variant uses the same 4.0L as the ST, so with the right catylitic converter in place, I'm sure the vehicle could pass emissions.

Importing vehicles from foreign contries isn't for the light hearted and is best done through a company that does this normally.

Here's a link to importing a vehicle into the US, just to know what you might be in for; be sure to check national and local regs for Manitoba though.

I've recently seen those in person when I was on vacation. I really prefer the sport trac to the ranger, the back seat seems a lot smaller on the ranger, mostly because of the design of the rear of the cab.
