This is the website that i bought my radio from:

http://oem-auto-accessory.com/factory_ford_radios.html

This was my origional radio:

This is the radio i bought:

http://oem-auto-accessory.com/6c2t_18c869_ab_am_fm_cd_mp3_with_sat_button_t100_plug_new.html

I noticed when i removed the origional radio there was 2 wiring harnesses connect to the back of the radio (i dont currently have rear radio or a subwoffer either) and on the new radio there was no place to connect one of the harnesses so i just left it unplugged and its still in the dash. I made sure everything works so i dont know what that second harness is for and havent been able to find any wiring diagrams to identify what the wires are. Also if you look at that website you will see how is seems to specify that my old radio works with the rear radio controls. So how can i find out if my current radio will work with the rear controls on the console im going to install..or maybe would it be possiable to install a flipdown dvd player and run the wires for mainly the volume and headphones to the rear radio instead?

you know i am not sure what t100 means, all i know is when i bought my radio the guy asked me what year i had, did i have a subwoffer, and i think the color of the face and said this was the radio i needed....but i notice on their website there is a adapter for the "m" series to the "t" series radios. on the website i seen somewhere it said to disable the rear radio controls hold down the 3 and 5 but i would assume if that was connected. If the harness i left in the dash connected to nothing was for the rear then it dosent work. when i pressed the 3 and 5 on the radio it dosent do anything or even give me a error. How can i tell what i have?
