Not St related, My 97 scort is in need of the rear defroster lines repaired.. Some work , some don't. I bought the kit to repair them. The areas that are in need of repair are visible.

Finally found something I have never done...:)

Has anyone done this before? Results? Easy to do?

Thanks,

Todd Z

Todd,

Yes, I have repair rear defroster heat strips on several vehicles I've owned. Most just require you to mask off above and below the strip and apply the metalic paint to the fill in the broken gaps in the grid.

The only tip is to check the each wire on the grid since you can get hairline cracks that you can't see, and you may need to repaint that whole strip to cover the break.

Todd Z I've repaired several. Just clean surface to be repaied with alcohol. Mak grid line and paint the cooper solution ti effect the repair. Several coats are better than one. Good luck.
