Rear Diff and Trans

I did a search but I'm struggling to find the part numbers.

Our rear ends are 8.8 right? So any 8.8 gasket will work? I know from the factory it was just rtv, but when I did that last time with the fluid there was a leak so I used a gasket and didn't have any problems.

Also 2wd trans filter part number please so I don't end up with a 4wd one. What was the difference again? It's visibly different if I remember correctly.

Yes, it is an 8.8 rear end. "Will any 8.8 gasket work?" I would get a Ford 8.8 gasket as there could be slight differences.

All ford 8.8 are the same. Buy a good qaulity gasket anywhere. Dont remember the filter diff.

No need for a gasket. Just use RTV sealant for oil and be done with it.

That is what Ford uses.

Lubelocker gaskets !!!

yes just dont get the gasket for the independent axle 8.8,,,,,,,

The 4x4 filter has a LONGER pick up tube the filter is the same.....
