Anyone know if it's possible to remove the rear seat pivot bolts or pins?

Are they internally threaded or pressed in? Still loose and making noise.

Steve,

I havent done mine yet either. For now I drove some wedges in. But that limits the tilt...:banghead:

Thanks Eddie. Seems they are pressed in pins. When bolted to the floor, they rattle.

When unbolted, they swivel freely without play or noise. Now I'm thinking floor stud. :banghead:

What's the noise sound like and does lubricating the pins change the sound? Is it just one or more? And do all the pins have similar movement, with or without the noise?

A soft popping type sound. Occurs under 30 MPH, on irregular pavement.

All four have very slight movement when putting weight on the seat(s).

Lithium spray grease subdued the noise slightly, but didn't silence it.

Going to check the stud mounts underneath the truck tomorrow. Thanks.

Can you C clamp them and just crush them a little.....

OR Carefully drill the center and spray thicker grease in there, or insert a grease fitting..

This accomplished... NOTHING. Folded the legs up and tied them tight to the seat bottoms.

10 seconds down my street, same noise. Every interior trim panel has been removed and checked.

I'm not sure if I want to tear my 60/40 seats apart. The search continues, thanks.

Steve,

I know it is the point in your pic is the poping.

When I push down on the seat. That is where it pops.

Was hoping the pivot brackets were the source of my noise, they weren't.

May be possible I dislodged something inside the seats removing the rear headrests.

The sound is similar to tapping on the B pillar cover with your knuckles. Frustrating.

EDIT- Found this:
