Rear seat won't fold down

The widest part of my rear seat will not fold down. It seems that the catch will not release. Has anyone else had this problem?? If so, how can I fit it??

Try pushing back on the seat while trying the lever. Something might be stuck behind it, hindering the release from working properly.:unsure:

Big-O, I have cloth seats and my widerear seat doesn't fold flat and lock. Solution?.....I don't know, I live with it.

You could just buy my seats and have nice new ones that work properly

sit on it, Potsie. My60 is hard to get down, but a kee and some body weight will lock it down.

My seat would not release. I took it to the dealer and they reached in the back window with a saw zall and cut the hook off to replace the catch. works fine now.
