It's probably the most essential aftermarket item I have purchased. Living here on the gulf coast you have to vent the truck in the summer and with all the rain we get, it's nice not to have to worry about rain getting in.
Yeah, just don't let your friends ride in the bed, cause when you hit the brakes, well, they could break the visor. Not that I would do anything that stupid or anything...I haven't bought a new one yet but I miss my old one.
and even with the visor, driving at 60mph in the rain, water will still come in and don't wash your windshield with the window open, You will wash the inside and out....
Darin, Here in NY ( specifically on LI) there is an old farm law, that any one over 13 years of age may ride in the back of a pick up truck... Only requirement is some type of rope or harness just in Case....
But perfectly legal for all the landscapers to have the truck filled...
Got my rear vent shade yesterday. I will put it on in the morning. It is hot in the Houston area.....
In Arkansas, were my Dad is from, the whole family rides in the bed of the truck. Every now and then they lose a member through a rusted out fender......
I lost some friends when the truck they were riding in ran into the creek. Those in the cab managed to roll down the windows and swim away. The two in the bed drowned, though. They couldn't get the tailgate down!
