What type of reciver hitches do ya'll have on your ST.I am not going to pull much . I have a little trailer that has a 2000 lbs weight limit. Thinking about a bumper reciver hitch. Con not find one on the Internet . If you have a bumper reciver hitch where did you get it.

I have a Class 3 frame mounted hitch that I bought from Uhaul ( I know, don't stone me ), it was around $175 installed with a three ball receiver and locking pin. It;s on my '03 ST XLT 4WD.

I've got a class 3 factory hitch with a 2" receiver. Its welded in place. I pull a tandem axle boat trailer(about 4500-5000lbs) and one for the bikes with no problems.

The problem with the bumper hitch is that it is probably going to be too high for the trailer you want to pull. Too high of a hitch height will result in a light hitch tongue weight, and may cause the trailer to sway. That's why most people go with some type of a under the bumper hitch. The bumper has a weight rating on it, and I think the 2000lb limit on the trailer is below the bumper weight limit (or right at it...). However, it you don't care about how the trailer rides, then you should be able to buy a ball for the bumper at many places, including Wally World.

I have a classIII/IV 2" hitch from Ford, and it has worked well for me. I still have to use a 4" drop though, to get my RV trailer to ride level.

Get a Class 3/4 bolt on hitch. Mine is a Curt brand. Being able to vary the tongue height with the insert helps sometimes too.
