Remote Mirror Problems

2003 ST with mirror problems. When I move the remote toggle switch to the right, the drivers side mirror does not turn in and when I flip the switch to the passengers side, the mirror won't turn out. All other directions work. Is it the toggle switch or does it just need lubrication?

I have seen this where the mirrio is slamed against the stop of the motor and its not moving, But you have to listen for the motor to hum, if not you need to test the switch and or motors..

Try manually moving the mirror past the the set point required. Then see if it will go back the other way, with the motor. Some times over the years the mirrors get pushed past there motor stops. The mirror will make a click, click noise while manually moving them. Dont worry you wont damage it.



If that doesnt help reset the mirror within its motor travel range range. It maybe the motor or the switch or wirring.



I have to reset mine sometimes. Car wash folks knock them out of there range of motor travel.
