I did as mentioned in the projects section and removed the air baffle in the airbox. No biggie.
I've never noticed this before but do now. When I shut the truck off, right as the engine stops it sounds like someone hitting a drum once, not a bang, a thud.
Then when I turn the key back on run, but before starting, I hear the same thud again. However, if I cycle the key back to off without starting, and turn the key to run again it won't make the thud anymore.
It is still hard to start and shakes like hell once started.
Should I just give up and replace the IAC?
