Removed Baffle

I did as mentioned in the projects section and removed the air baffle in the airbox. No biggie.



I've never noticed this before but do now. When I shut the truck off, right as the engine stops it sounds like someone hitting a drum once, not a bang, a thud.



Then when I turn the key back on run, but before starting, I hear the same thud again. However, if I cycle the key back to off without starting, and turn the key to run again it won't make the thud anymore.



It is still hard to start and shakes like hell once started.



Should I just give up and replace the IAC?

TO test the IAC issue, simply put your foot on the gas pedal a SMALL amount. If things change, then it could be the IAC. If not, it can't be the IAC.

Dont know about the starting problem. The thud or thump you hear is normal. It is the IAC cycling. If you ever put an open CAI on. You will hear more.
