Awaiting response via email from the seller. Will not mention a name, yet.

Arrived from a "fellow" member in the mail. Poor condition was not mentioned in the ad.

Paid $30 + $25 shipping in the much oversized box. No packing material was used.

Damage was not possible due to shipping. ABS and closed cell foam construction.

Mine is only missing the rear plastic trim piece on the cupholder. (No sinkhole or other issues)

Third pic shows my original armrest. (Cupholders removed on both)

Intent was to sell my original to another member to recoup the shipping cost.

Not anymore, don't think he would want this POS.

Any comments, advice, or action I should take? Overreacting? Buyer beware? Thanks.

Did the "new" one have the bottom plate on it or just as shown? I have one in that same shape, won't sell it. The older models, like in my project, aren't prone to that type of wear damage. Not a fan of these types.

What piece do you need for yours Steve? I have this if it'll help:

Honestly I would have waited for a response and see how the seller handled the issue before making it public...

just my .02

I find it hard to believe a seller would post an item in this condition and

believe it would be ignored.

Seller had to remove the part from the vehicle giving a clear view of the

damaged insert. Broken parts were loose inside the shipping box.

Steve M- Thanks for your kind offer. The item was shipped as pictured.

I've already swapped the cupholders and took this one on the chin, done.

(I only needed the plastic trim on the rear of the cupholder)

Todd Z- Sorry, I was livid after opening the box, and immediately posted.

I'm glad a name was not mentioned. Am sure if it was refunded, the freight

would be a killer, again. Not worth it. Wouldn't feel bad if you retracted this post.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Steve, that sux. I dont blame you for the imediate vent. I would never sell somthing in that conditition. Even if the buyer knew it and beged me, for it. If they beged for it. I would give it to them. I wont sell a broken item. Thats just me...

I feel your pain.....I recently just bought a high mount brake light for my ST. Someone put in contact with someone they sold it to, was told it was for my ST......Got it in the mail and it was a lens for a 96 Explorer......No refunds I was told, but that is what I get, buyer beware! :0(

MoSsMaN,,

I had sent you mail earlier about what HER Trac was, didn't hear back from you.

The yard that pulled it sold it to her for a 2003 Trac...

Sounds like the yard was wrong and your seller never used it nor checked to see if it would fit.

I would check out eBay now that you know what it REALLY is, might have a good chance to move it.

Good luck with it.

Ranger and Sport Trac lights are the same, FYI. I had a new Ranger light I'd had stored away and almost forgotten. When I pulled the one off my Trac to repair the roof I recognized the similarity and went and got the Ranger light ....... same.

If "awaiting a response" then my suggestion is wait. After dealing with the seller you then get no satisfaction feel free to bring out the axe and start grinding it.

Hey CoastieJoe

Yeah not ur fault, I did ask her for a pic but she couldnt provide one, should have said no to the deal at that point :O(

There is no excuse for not being completely clear on the condition of the part...

Ditto, IMO it is wrong to sell a broken part in the first place. As I said above. I will give it away if broken.

DISPUTE RESOLVED AND REFUNDED IN FULL, INCLUDING SHIPPING.

Hopefully won't happen again and will wait for sellers response before posting.

Thanks for the advice, comments, and support. Cheers.
