Review of the KKM Intake for the 08 4.0L ?

Anyone have any experience with the KKM Cold Air Intake for the 2008 4.0L? I've never used KKM before and this is my first Ford. I've always been a K&N user and have been really happy with the results, but sadly they don't make an application for my ST. Ridiculous! I assume I could use the KKM hardware and drop a K&N Filter on the end of it if I really felt like it. KKM uses S&B filters, which seem to be along the same lines as K&N.



Opinions?

I had their air intake on my 02 ST, worked good, no issues with it, have thought about seeing if it would fit on my 07 V6 but haven't yet, I did not remove the stock air box on my 02. It gave the 4.0 a bit of a growl under acceleration, and throttle response was improved a bit as well, mpg went up maybe .5 to 1 mpg better.

So you installed the KKM filter inside the old stock air box? That I would like to see!

just took the lid off, and the kkm filter fit right inside the air box with the support bar holding the kkm in tight. no issues at all
