Ringing sound while driving

OK, I am getting an 'on again, off again' ringing sound while driving my Sporttrac. It mostly occurs in damp weather. It doesn't affect performance. Naturally when I take it to the dealer it is not ringing. Has anyone experienced this. I have a 2007 model.
