I wounder if anyone else has experienced this sensation I have electric seats and the drivers seat seems to rock just like a rocking chair. The passenger seat seems fine and the nuts and bolts I can see seem tight there are quite a few up there in the dark. Seat has full range of motion nothing seems broke just loose?

Sometimes moving through the seat through the full range of motion helps but it sounds like you did that already. What happens is that over time the gears in the seat motors wear and then you get that play that you are feeling.

That's what I was afraid of I was hoping that there was an adjustment or cheap fix? Guess not... Can the seat motor be replaced easily or inexpensively? I am going under again tomorrow just to see if I missed anything as far as loose nut or bolt. It's not really bad but noticeably when starting or stopping and there is alot of that on the D.C. beltway everyday.

Both Ford and GM have this issue with the seat motors and unfortunately most of the time you can't just buy 1 seat motor you have to buy the whole seat transmission. On the bright side though is that alot of the seat transmissions are the same so you may be able to source one from a wrecking yard alot cheaper than a new one.
