Roof leak

I have a roof leak in my 08 ST Limited that I get with "heavy" rain.

The roof liner trim above the rear window gets filled with water. I'm original owner and have never removed the tail light cover or the roof rack cover. It's not the window and doesn't seem to be the moon roof. Anyone ever had this issue before I start investigating?

Ik u said that it may not be the moon roof but my moms freestyle was leaking and we had to bring it to the dealership

Most likely culprit is the seal on the third brake light. You can either replace the light, or pull the foam tape off and reseal it yourself. The gasket does get weak after a few years of the elements. I had to do the same thing on my F150.

I had the same issue with my 2010 STA, turned out to be a clogged drain hose for my moon roof, cost $45 to clean it out but worked great
