Roof Rack Side Rails

Has anyone removed the side rails from their roof rack?



If I was to remove them, what kind of holes are left and what would I use to cover them?

There are 12 threaded inserts permanently mounted in the roof. After you remove the screws for the rails, remove the rails, then put some silicone sealant on the threads and replace them in the holes. Wipe off any excess silicone with a damp cloth. Paint to match the body is optional.

Welcome Michael.....I put silcone on the threads and a o-ring in the recess in the fixed roof insert. I havent painted yet. I have the touch up to do it. It has been to hot for me..:lol:

BTW, I live in Pasadena..
