My 2001 Sport Trac stalls out at 3000rpm's consistently, most recently. It's been hard to start lately. Sometimes it takes about 3 turnovers before starting and surges occassionaly. Any ideas?

IF you have a job 2 motor, you can try cleaning the IAC motor, and check the common elbow for cracking....



Also check your fuel filter, air filter and check for any vacuum leaks...



IF you have a job 1 motor, and this only now is happening in the cold weather, IT could be bad intake manifold gaskets...
