Rust

My used 2001 sport trac was from NY. I have rust under the truck.....What is the best way to get rid of this rust?

Sand blast with walnut hulls. The wallnut hulls wont blow thru delicate areas' as easy. Then get it undercoated.

I think highly of EXTEND by Permatex. You simply remove the flaking rust and paint it over the rusty surface that's left. It is an encapsulator and uses the rust in it's chemical reaction.Several coats will actually fill in small holes and this stuff gets super hard!
