Saw A Pinzgauer

A Pinzgauer is not something you see in the U.S. every day.

The wife and I were going out to dinner yesterday and came up behind a funky little cabover 4x4 truck with a troop carrier bed, couple of guys riding in the back.

The wife: "What kinda truck is that?"

Me: "A Pinzgauer."

The wife: :blink: "Only you would know that."

Me:

Pinzgauers are sort of the Swiss Army's version of a Hummer. The vehicular equivalent of a mountain goat. Found a few links on Google.

Saw bunch of them last year during our cities festival......but its cool to see them...

Some local guy near me has one. The last two times he's brought it out to our local cruise-in/show-off. Someone once brought out a Ferret as well. Last month, some guy brought a WWII Ford Willys done up Navy style.

One of my son's Scout leaders drives one. It's a great way to transport a lot of Boy Scouts! It's always an attention grabber on the road, especially if you're stuck behind it going 35mph!!!



Before I bought my SportTrac, I seriously thought about getting one. I used to look at this site all the time...
