hmm... depends on mods and such i suppose

and go to the SCT site and download the livewire updater program for new tunes

um... i dont kno an exact number but i went from running 11.4s in the 1/8mile to 10.2s good stuff

and i got a new tune from torrie to play with as soon as i get my camber kit and an alignment done

Personally I'd go to a Tuner location and get a custom Dyno Tune done!

There are a ton of performance shops out that there that dyno tune anything with an SCT!

I highly Recommend tlaking to Speedy Dyno in Owensborogh KY (about 4hrs away from you but well worht it!) L I N K B E L O W They did a great job on my 06 ROUSH mustang when they installed gears and did a dyno tune!

You may have to drive a little ways to find a good one....but TRUST me a Dyno tune is WAYYYYY better than the stock can tunes that come with teh SCT!

Yup,

Got my ST dyno tuned while In Louisville.... since Doug did it for all his customers there it was well worth it....

The NY shops still cry that they can not do St's or any other vehicle unless they purchase the software from SCT, I know that is not 100% true, But on the 4.0 V6 a dyno tune is not justifiable..

The v8 is a whole nother story !!

Todd, I have a local SCT tuner with a dyno. He said he needed the software for my trac. Are you saying thats not true??

Ed,

I have been told both ways... The Dyno shop here even told me that They themselves can unlock vinlocked xcals...

I believe that a tuner can not build a file without the "base"file first.... I was going to become a SCT dealer back in the day but the BS and all the stuff they wanted you to be "quiet" about was too underhanded for me...

I guess it is how well you know the tuner and what they are willing to do for you..

I do believe that on the v8 and v6 St the transfer functions are the same and any tuner can do mustangs and Gen 2 St's...

Again, thats only what i can hear and have been told. IT could be 100% wrong....

Key point in all of this is to find someone skilled to build your calibrations. I don't send out canned tunes to people I have and always will build my own for each customer.

If you need any help with this or need custom ST calbrations built I can do it, email me
