THE PAST: If nobody remebers here is the reader digest version. I a used seadoo, it got rearended while being towed to the river.

Entered a personal watercraft illustrated magazine subscription online (since my new/used one was at shop). Which entered me in a drawing. I won the 05 Seadoo3D two weeks later.

THE PRESENT: (sort of) I only have a single trailer (which my now repaired Seadoo GTS rests on). So I have to borrow a freinds trailer to pick the 3D. On the highway at 65mph I get a flat on the trailer...ugg. I limp to the dealer to pick up the 3D. They fix the flat (thank god) and the tire is OK.

I get it home too late to try it out. So I can't wait until the next day. I wake up bright and early. Tell my wife I'm going to go play to which she looks at me and responds in a technicolor yawn (barfs). She ended up have mild food poisoning and slept for the next 36hours straight (except for puking every couple hours). My and the six month old make the best of it we go play on the 3D clean it up , play on it some more. Then the Baby Spits up on it (great googaly moogaly). So I grab a rag and wipe her off (no The baby). But the rag has gease on it...soooo back in the house to change clothes again. I guess I should have seen this one coming. Wife walks into the babies room (YAK!!). The whole world is throwing up....but, I still can't Ride the 3D. So I pack it in for the night Play with the Baby take care of the wife clean the house and think about riding the new toy.

Night time rolls around everybody is still sick. I go to bed....and dream about riding..ZzzzZZzzz

The next moring the wife is up and moving feeling much better...the baby is fine evertything is looking up. Crack!!! thunder rolls and its raining cats and dogs.....sniff sniff. 4hours later around 10am the rain parts the sun shines and its 52 degrees outside. I'm going riding....! I can take the cold.So we head to the river I put the boat in the water....wheres the key? I know I put it on the gear shift..GRRRR. Wife says i have it. I look at her quizzically and ask if I can have it. Yup she says and throws it to me...I'm in the water. I reach up and snag it out of the air nothing can stop me now. Finally I get in the water...JEEEEZZZZZ...the water is cold even with my wetsuit on.

Im cruising before I know it..this thing flys. It cuts corners like my Ducati. So I gas it hard and it promtly spits my off. I go all ginger bread man across the water. I suddenly realize this hurts a lot less than when I wreck the bike. So for the next 30 minutes I grab the bull by the horns and we tussle most of the time I lose and have to swim back to the boat. Before I know it Im draggin my knee across the water like a pro. So I head down stream toward the low level dam. The One a local boat shop owners son died on because the brand new boat he was in stalled and went over. This is the exact thought going through my mind when My Seadoo suddenly stalls..AAAAKKK!! I try to get it started but no good The Dam is slowly getting closer and closer. I jump off the boat and start swiming toward shore trying to tug this dead POSPWC with me. Ten action packed minutes later I can touch bottom. "Thank You lord" I say looking up to the sky. Then I realize that I'm on the wrong side of the river with no way to get back to the ramp. I have no way get the PWC if I can get it back across the river. So off comes the cover and I start looking for whats wrong. Then I notice the crank trigger sensor is hanging loose. The bolt is missing. Greeeeeat! Now what. I stick the sensor back in the engine case and pray......Yeah!!! it starts. I'm goin home. Once back on the trailer I find the bolt and spacer place and try to tighten it up..nope no good. Looks like there are no threads in the whole ....We are done....Is it just me? or is it Personal watercraft in general?

THE FUTURE: Me, Seadoo and the Dealer need to have a little talk...stay tuned.:angry:Raserx

PS

now i rembember why i got rid of mine thanks i was looking at buolding another one that just changed my mind

Ok, here is what you do. With the luck you've been having you need to pack BOTH crafts up and give them to ME!!! If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all so I'm used to days like that. It will take ALL the pressure off of you and we'll both be happy. How about it? Really though, sounds like a pretty rough couple of days. Hope things go better next time.;)

LOL...dude, you have all the luck. I update my friends with all that is happening to you, and they get a good laugh. Keep in mind, we are not laughing at you, we are laughing with you.

I feel for you, I have a Waverunner and have not been able to get on the lake in a month, now it's getting cold. It's going to be in the upper 70's in KC Tuesday, but I don't think I'll make it.

Keep trying, that 3D looks like a sweet ride, have fun

the problem here : it's a seadoo !!!!!

never had any problems with my kawasaki and yamaha .

Hey Kevin..I'm not a bad example....I'm a Horrible warning...lol.

Gary....Normally I would say don't be "hatin" but I see where you get to ride and I'm "Hatin"....

raserx,

didn't mean to piss you off, but alot of my friends that had seadoo's have had problems. my 92 kawasaki was so freakin' reliable and my 99 yamaha gp800 held up really well. but i sold them this summer as i needed the cash. everytime i see one i miss them more !

no " hatin " here

Not a bid Mad Gary..just jealous of the water behind you. I have a river thats only about !mile accessable to ride on. My river is soooo small. "ho0000ooow smaaaaaall is it?" Well last time I backed too far down the ramp and was on the other side....:p

oh, sorry to hear that. i used to go out of moriches bay and had access to the ocean. FUN !

nothing like riding in the ocean ! the looks you get from boaters who can't make it thru moriches inlet while i go right thru and with no wet suit ! FUN !. I HAVE TO SAY , I REALLY MISS IT !

You're right, they do hurt a lot less than falling off a bike. I don't get close to dams though. Read good things about the 3D. I have a Polaris myself.

I hope things work out better for you. I mean.. come one... things HAVE to improve. Like others, I have had good luck with my PWC. I have a Honda and it runs like a champ... and sips gas to boot!!

Sweet rides guys..I'll be out there in the snow if I have too...any cold weather trouble with a water cool PWC?

The cold shouldn't matter. They have a thermostat. It's staying pretty warm here and I have a titanium-lined wetsuit but I winterized mine the other day and it's going to the storage mine tomorrow. No time. I had been thinking of showing up on the river during Steeler games to get on TV.
