Seat belt chime shut off not working

I followed the steps in my owners manual and it still will not shut off. I disabled the system in my 03 Sport Trac with no problem and my friends 07 F150. I cant seem to get it off in my 05 Expedition. Any ideas on why this might not work??? I tried the way in the book and I tried the procedure for the Trac as well and nothing has worked.

Check the edition of the owners manual. I had a 1st edition for my '03 ST and it had the steps for the '02 still in the manual. It changed for the '03 year... Found a newer manual(3rd edition I think), and the steps were correct. Not sure where to find manuals for the Expedition though.
