Well guys, this is an odd part, but I know you will come through. I need to find the little round plastic piece that goes through the seat belt to stop the belt clip from falling down. I went to Ford and they said its $19 for the part as it comes in a pack of 4 but in 3 colors, so 12!

Mine too. Darn seat belt doesn't retract fast enough and I shut the door on it about half the time. Got my button, albeit gray instead of beige, for free.

How much can a dime sized piece of plastic cost anyway?

I used a somewhat large safety pin. I did make sure that the closure was on the outside and not on the inside of the belt (as to not tear my clothing).

I would like to know if there is a way to make the seat belt retract faster?

Two regular buttons and some thread took care of ours. No problem since then. If you think regular thread won't cut it, use dental floss. I've used that for years to repair tents and backpacks.

ANY auto parts store should carry these in their small accessories displays.

Google "Seat Belt Stop Button" and you will find them. Dorman makes a kit.

Only required tool is a plier to make compress it. 30 second fix.

DUPLICATE

Hey Steve! Yeah, enough football for today. Some of this stuff is very informative.

Trying to bypass the seat belt chime WHEN PARKED, with the A/C on. Tried everything.

I haven't tried it in the Trac but I disabled the chime in my 08 E250 per instructions in the manual. It totally disables it though. I put my seat belt on before putting the vehicles in "D" so I don't need no steenkin' dinger!
