My 03 is outside of the 3 year/36K mi. warranty, but is this condition covered under some other Ford warranty? The belt is getting worse over time. If I can't get Ford to replace it for free, Coastiejoe, can you check on a gray front driver's side belt.

Thanks

Sitting on a plane headed to LaGuardia right now. If I have time between the flights I'll run it then. If not, I will run it when I get to Houston.

Not sure if the coverage is longer than the basic coverage. I suggest calling a dealer to find out. You never know????

Seat belt is a safety item and is covered for 50K. I had one replaced as it would not retract properly and had been slammed in the door many times. Rod

If ford wont replace it..you can stop the fraying by using a lighter to melt the edges of the threads..
