Hey Guys and Dolls, our Ford Motor Company gurus are dropping the ball again. If you will follow the link I have attached below, you will see that both Honda and Mitsubishi are onto the 07' ST Adrenalin Concept that was floating around the internet a while back! Look closer and read the articles that Honda and Mitsubishi have that strikes right at the heart of the Adrenalin Concept! Honda has thiers with a lot of the features that the ST Adrenalin has, and Mitsubishi even has "shaved door handles" on thier concept! So when Ford did not display the 07' STA concept at the auto shows this year, the other car companies jumped on them like white on rice at the SEMA show! Now we have to put up with the "Better Ideas" slogan that Ford used to espouse and look at foriegners taking advantage of that mistake. Oh well, I really don't care for imports, but that new BMW 5 series looks awfully good right now! Just a thought from someone who loves my 01' ST and will not part with it, even as it is going to cost me some "O/D problems" money. But judge for yourself these "copycats" that took advantage of FORD'S blunder with the STAdrenalin Concept! Pity! Oops! I don't know how to attach the link to this article I am referring to, but someone else has it within this thread. You can try this:

Someone please enlighten me...........I have led a sheltered life and have never been to a SEMA show. Do people actually stand in line to get the autographs of car show skanks ? I might stand in line if they were giving away sample parts (for vehicles), but what purpose does the autograph of a former/future stripper serve?

I can see that many have had front-end bodywork done and their suspensions appear to hold corners well, butt (oops).....are these posters they sign of any value?

Maybe they forgot the last letter in the show name..........

That Honda Street Sport Concept looks sweet!

The interior is a little much, which I'm sure they would tone down anyway,

but it looks great! That would be a tough call. Adrenaline or Ridgeline concept

On the other two "street" concept trucks, neither one mentions a different motor. I find it hard to beileve that either could match up to a 390hp supercharged v8 with AWD. Ford's concept was built as a different vehicle; those look like the current vehicles with body kits and rims, the same thing all ricers do, add tons of exterior crap and leave the motor alone.

Jeff - or, they do mods to the engine and don't do anything to the suspension or the brakes. I've seen so many of these it's pathetic. "Yeah I got a supercharger or turbo but I still have the stock brakes and suspension. Sorry, the suspension, brakes and the tranny weren't designed for all that power when the car was built. Or, better yet the street racers that show up at the track for lapping days and they get blacked flagged because they can't drive worth a shi* on the track and are more dangerous to everyone around them.

mrmarvyn-

You're kidding, right? Shaved door handles isn't soemthign new or unique to the Adrenalin Concept, so the Mitsu having them as well isn't something new. Since about 2000 or so, nearly every concept ever put out doesn't have door handles. It is nothing new at all. Ford has displayed the Adrenlin Concept at several shows, it wasn't an "intetnet only" deal. Oh, and one last thing, the whole 'street truck' idea isn't anything new with the Adrenlin Concept...so no one is really copying Ford or the Adrenlin....

Buzz-

You can't just go to the SEMA show, you have to work in an automobile related field to get a chance to go, and even then, I'm pretty sure you have to be a member of SEMA. It's an exclusive, non-public show that sets the tone for the coming year.

Two of my friends are Managers for Lite Glow and they always get to go. They just got back the other night so hopefully they took some close up pics of some of the rides.
