Ok, this is about as off topic as it gets,,,, but I am asking anyways.

I am growing facial hair for the first time in many years..

The picture below is the basic style I am after, just much cleaner and thinner.

My question is, the clean shaven areas below the lower lip on each side of the strip of hair, what do you use to shave it as it is too thin for a traditional razor.

Thanks...

I think this is the picture he is referring to.

But seriously if you are going to keep the goatee for a while definitely get one of the small Wahl or similar trimmers. They work great and are definitely worth it.

Sorry about not having the picture posted earlier, just as I was typing the original post, an "incident" happened and I had to run onto the plane to prevent further issues...

Coastie--I have a goatee almost identical to the one in the illustration you posted. You don't shave those areas. They just don't grow hair.

When I had a goatee or beard, I let it grow sometimes. Other times I shaved those areas. I use an norelco electric, no problem geting one of the round heads in that area.

Bill,

I grow hair there,,, guess I don't have a baby face... LOL

But I don't want a full lower goatee, beard, whatever you want to call it.

I like it better with the clean inside edges. I work with the public 5 days a week, I want them to see that I am taking the time to make it look nice, not ratty or messy...

This is getting freaky! This is the 3rd time in like 4 days goatees have been a topic. 2 of my friends, who don't know each other, shaved thiers off. Both for the same reason, they screwed up while trimming! These are people I have known for years and have always had the same goatee!

An old fashion double edge shick. You can get it smooth and be a little more precise I think._Ron

What Bill said.

I've had one for all but (1) week since 1997. I had to shave it to work at Steak n' Shake. One of the reasons it was only a week.

That's been the ONLY time my wife has seen me without one, except in pictures. We were dating then. She didn't like it. Made me look too young, which in Twisted Woman Speak means she felt old.
