Shifter is getting stuck

Hey everyone. This is my first post here so any help is appreciated. I have an 09 XLT and just the past few days my shifter is getting harder and harder to move. Almost like it's getting stuck. Its at the point now where it feels like I'm going to brake it. It's almost as though this happened overnight. I know it's still under warranty and I should just take it in for service but right now my time is really limited. Can anyone tell me if there's anything I can just do myself?

I got a recall about this same issue on my 07 ST so there might be one for the 09. Take it to the dealer since it's still under warranty anyway...
