This is really just a BS question - just curious more than anything...



Other than just listening, feeling and looking at the Tachometer, is there a device that can show me what gear I'm in as I drive?

How does looking at the tach show you what gear you are in?

Looking at the Tach doesn't show me the gear - I look and count how many times it shifts.

I bet you could wire in a led to the wire harness that goes into the tranny for each gear.



I don't know what the electrical consequences would be, but that would kinda be a cool mod...



and then just put a switch on it to turn it out at night so it doesn't look like a drag tree on your dash.... :lol::lol:

According to the info on the ScangaugeII with Xgauge, it can be set up to display the transmission gear ratio.
