I've got a shimmmy that is prevalant from 45mph+ it gets worse the faster i go, wheel bearings are fine, alignment is freshly done and well within spec... its noticeable in the steering wheel and occasionally the brake pedal, the brakes are also fine. Anyone seen this before?

I have had tread run out on new tires..get them to spin it on the balancer, with the cover up and watch the tread...

Did they inspect the inner and outer tie rod end thourly and the wear in the rack and pinion unit...

There is one more thing to inspect. When my bushings started to wear i got a shimmy. everything checked ok on the alignment rack but when we drove it it would vibrated in the steering wheel. Good luck with your search.

Every vehicle I have had that shimied from 45mph up, was always the tie rod ends or tread runout..just my 40yrs of experiance....:)
