so short story is... dirt in the carb. easy fix for my buddy. Now- stupid trick of the day. Was in such a hurry to get the thing to my buddy's shop so I could get some other things done, i loaded it into the trac, left the tailgate down so my ramps would fit and you guessed it.. watched it tumble end over end down the road about 2 blocks from the shop. No idea why I didn't put a strap on it, just plain forgot. what an idiot. did no damage though except for a little road rash on the handles. not funny at the time, but is now.

My brother did the same thing with a BRAND NEW 2 stage snow blower about 3 -4 years ago. It messed up the handle bars and the controls real bad. The weird thing is, he's always anal about strapping and securing loads....except that time.

I had my dad's up to the shop a few weeks ago. Needed a new carb, i.e. new was cheaper than fixing the old one. Because of the ethanol in gas now, the guy at the shop told me for small engines he recommends using Sta-Bil in the gas ALL the time, not just when you're storing them.
