Software question?

I want make slide shows for the TV from all of my camera/digital pictures. What type software should I look for?

If you have an HD Directv receiver it will link with your home computer and let you view your photos along with play your music files at the same time.



Many TV's now have USB or SD slots on them too for viewing photos as slide shows or editing.

I've had good luck with Nero. It often comes bundled with internal or external DVD or CD burners.

Another vote for Nero.



As for newer TVs (and DVD players) that have USB and SD slots, you often don't even need any special software; just dump the photo JPEG files into folders on the portable storage device, then hook it up to the TV and viola', it provides a rudimentary folder viewer, and allows you to play all the contents within...if the contents are image files, it plays them as a slideshow. Not fancy, but it works.

Picasa works great and is free. It also has software for burning CD/DVDs to be played on TV.

I HAVE Nero ver 8,,, but have never seen that option... guess I need to do some research huh:unsure:

Windows Movie Maker is also free and easy.

Have a Wii? You can put an SD card into it and 'do' a slide show.
