Just tighten them untill they feel tight enough. Tom

V8 engine What year is your Sport Trac? 2010 What Generation is your Sport Trac? 2n Gen Owner May 16, 2008 #3 gasketed plugs you hand tighten till the gasket touches the head and tighten 3/4 a turn... On our plugs with the taper you tighten till they touch the head and go 1/4 turn more.... Or as tom said, you get the feel for it and your good to go.. Todd Z
