i just had a couple of my speakers blow out, seeing as im a teenager and all, this just wont do! does anyone know what size speakers fit in the doors of a 2002 trac, any info would be great! thanks a lot!

I just upgraded my speakers front and back. Both are 6x8's or you can also use 5x7's. Look in my library for pic's. To remove the door panels there are 3 bolts on the the bottom of the front doors, 2 bolts in the back doors, 2 screws behind the door handles and a bunch of plastic clips. Hope this helps you out.

I would highly recommend Crutchfield. If you've never done speaker work before, they give you really straightforward and descriptive walk-throughs for all the install work. They include any wiring adapters you might need. Very good.

There is a pretty good Sport Trac speaker install video on the www.motorz.tv web site.

Scroll down a bit from the top of the page to the "newest episode" section. The speaker install is the third video down titled "Budget Speaker Upgrade Installation". The ST in the video is a '05, but should be close to what you need. A couple of good tips, including how to determine speaker wire polarity.

Good luck,

I went to Circuit City when car audio was 60% off, I paid $19 for the front Jensen's and $24 for the rear Sony's. I would have liked to have matched sets but couldn't pass up the deal. Both sets sound great.

Crutchfield is good for help but they're on the expensive side for speakers. Just my opinion.
