I recently replaced my rotors to cross drilled and slotted to gain better stopping performance. I already had put on the larger aftermarket pads in both the front and back. When bedding in the rotors I noticed that the brakes were spongy. This condition probably existed before the rotor change, but I didn't pay much attention to it. I bled the brakes and released a little air that was in the system. The peddle was still spongy with a reasonable amount of travel. The Trac has about 25K miles and is an '03 4x4. The pads have about 5K miles on them and are in great condition. Both rotors and pads are free of oils or grease.

The Trac does stop, but on dry pavement I can't get the tires to lock up and the antiskid does not engage. The antilocks work since I can get them to active when stopping on dirt or gravel.

My question is "does anyone else have a similar condition and/or how was it fixed?"

I will hold off replacing the master cyllinder or other actions until I get some feedback.. Thanks in advance.....MikeC
