anybody got tips on wheel spacers i can install on my trac? i was thinking of gettin 2'' on back and 1.5 front. can you use a hubcentric one in the front?

You can use hubcentric any time. If they are offered for your hub. Lug centrics are safe if from a qaulity billet material.

My preference is hubcentric. For the extra alighnment support and load off of the lugs.

I have lug-centrics and never had an issue. I have 1.25 all around and the front is right at the fender's edge. If I could do over, I would go 1.5 back and 1.25 front. JMHO.

Highly Recommended is 1.5 back and 1.25 front. Hub centric is the way to go, as they've mentioned it better weight support and not as much weight on the lug nuts. Once you do you this, you'll be glad you did. You won't regret the new wider stance it give the ST

Can someone comment on the extra bearing wear these spacers cause? Is it considerable? Is there an easy preventative fix? Is it all bunk?

Thanx

I have 1.5" all around, and have had no issues with berrings yet. Knock on wood.

Some images of that..

Keep in mind i have a lift and a wider tire too, and in my case, had to trim when adding the spacers.

There is always some extra wear on bearings, and supension parts. When you change the geometry and offsets from OEM. To what extent, IDK. The best thing I would do is step up the maitenance checks more often.

Hay Matt...I know this is an old thread and my question has nothing to do with spacers, but where did you find the taillight guards? I've been looking everywhere and can't find them.

***Edit: After posting this, I was able to find them online, but only for 2001 ST's. Anyone think those will still work on a 2005?***
